So today was an obvious step up again playing against a side a league higher, they are clearly looking to have a good season and had a whole host of calibre players that played in both halves, we had to do without a handful of players, Gilly, Carr, Flooks, Willo plus a couple of other key players, however we took a good group and a lot of youngsters and had a really good run out in general!

Ultimately as I always say even when we win that results mean nothing in pre season, however we lost the game due to a crazy 5 minutes before the break, 1-0 down we had a goal disallowed from Sim for a free kick that I still have no idea what it was for, then a soft pen followed by a poor piece of defending and in a blink we went from looking like 1-1 to 3-0 down at the break.

A brilliant reaction from the lads and the boys who came on and we had a fairly end to end half and could easily have scored a couple. I’m the end it was a very good run out and I am pleased with a lot of elements from tonight, we are really starting to gel things together now, still a few weeks away but we are starting to piece a few things together.

Next up a double header away to Baffins and away to Clanfield on Saturday where most of the squad will get a good run out! Hopefully with the news of fans allowed in we can have a few watching us in the coming games.

Up the citizens!
