Certainly wasn't our day today!! What could go wrong did go wrong, starting with Oli still injured but that was expected, Danny King away due to work, then Rob Carr had to pull out through illness on the morning of the game, Gareth Byres stuck at work and unable to get away in time for the coach, far from ideal. We then get injuries to Adam Tomasso and Andy Jenkinson in the first 20 minutes of the game, we absolutely battered them 2nd half but it just wasn't our day, hugely disappointing.

Hayward (on after 15 minutes)
Hill (on after 25 minutes)
Clark (from the reserves after impressing for them)

Game started fairly end to end although we had the best chance with a Coxy header after a good move. Then the 2 injuries and we had to reshuffle on 2 occasions, this had an obvious affect on us, we conceded from a set piece and were 1 down at the break, I didn't think we were at our best but well in the game.

Second half I have to say I thought we were outstanding, I don't feel there is a fitter side than us and we showed it, it was literally wave after wave of attacks, we played some really good football I thought. Nothing would quite fall for us, shots blocked, lots of good saves and even an equaliser disallowed in the last minute when IK nodded in. It absolutely was one of those days, couldn't ask a lot more of the lads to be honest!

We now have to try and recover these injuries and get back into the league action next week at Cirencester!

Heads up lads, massive thanks as well to the supporters who were superb today, really sorry we didn't get the result we wanted!

Up the citizens!
