Well that is a good feeling!!! It’s been a while and we needed to get that win, especially at a place that has been a difficult place to go and get a win, in fact I hear we have never won there do that makes it an even better win!

For the game we were without Harfield with his cut eye, Kinger suspended, Liam Gilbert due to work and Brett Cunningham ill on morning of game, we pulled Sam Tonks from the youth side into the squad. We started like a steam train and they cleared 2/3 off the line early on, we then went ahead with a stunning strike from Ollie Griggs, we let them back in and they equalised but back we came and Jamie Barron struck a nice volley from edge of box and we were 2-1 up at the break!

Second half we came out again on front foot and chances to go further ahead came and went but we looked comfortable at back... later in the half we looked a little more nervy than we needed to, they were getting bit of joy with the long ball down the sides, we changed a couple of bits about and shut that down well, then broke and got a 3rd with a good goal by Oli Bailey and that was the game won 3-1.

In the grand scheme of things it is only 3 points but momentum is very hard to turn around when had a tough time of results, so it was crucial to get that win today, very pleased with all the lads and also delighted for the fans as well!

Big 3 points and we now go to Fleet on Tuesday (weather permitting!!!) they won today so will be full of confidence there, we will go and need to scrap it out as the pitch is appalling, so it’s a day for big character and so we will go and give it a good go!

Great feeling today and will enjoy it for the evening and then get ready for Fleet!

Up the citizens!
