What a great great win that was, absolutely delighted with each and every member of the squad!! We have now won 4 in a row after a horrible run, 3 of them games away from home, a really massive effort from the whole squad and no doubt in my mind today was just that, a whole squad and staff united and putting in a shift to get that result! Well done boys...

Day started not so well with the coach late and then meaning we arrived at 2.35pm which was not good!! We still kicked off at 3pm and avoided the fine that it would have incurred, we did the team talk on the bus and changed on there, Jo Brocksom was even doing treatment and straps on the coach, very proud of my staff and the players for how they handled it!! We were without Simba injured and Rob Carr unavailable, however we had Gilly back into the starting lineup.

Game started and most of the first half in fact was fairly cagey with not too many saves at either end, we came in 0-0 and the players were frustrated at their performance, we were fairly content though as the disruption had affected us but we were well in the game. We asked the players to remember we had a point currently and we do not lose that, we see if we can build on it!

Well 80 seconds in and Rawks curled a great finish in for 1-0, in truth after that we controlled the game and didn’t give much away, I was very pleased with the way we did that, on a heavy pitch especially. We made 3 changes with Griggsy on for Gilly as he works his match fitness up, then Flooksy had to come off with an ankle injury and so I went on and dropped cookie back to CB, then we took Oli off and pushed Ty up and brought Brett Cunningham on... inspired sub really as Ty ran through and set Brett up to kill it off 2-0, we then closed the game off for 3 massive points and 2 clean sheets in a row and 12 big points out of last 12!

We now have to recuperate and manage the injuries and we hope we should have Carr and Mlambo back next weekend, Bideford come to us and we have to produce another massive display against a side who beat us twice last year!!

For now though we enjoy today, big thanks as ever to the supporters, then we go for it again next week!!!

Up the citizens!
