Football can be a cruel game at times it really can, all of us are devastated at the way it’s ended and whilst can look back with pride at vast majority of it, some of the defending was poor and failure to clear lines properly cost us dear, also let’s be honest a huge slice of fortune with the cross that won it for them with the last kick!

First half we were absolutely immense and destroyed them with goals from Joe Cook, Oli Bailey and Jamie Barron and it could have been more. Their goal just before and after half time was massive for them and gave them huge momentum to get a third and equalise. Great character from
us to battle back and get ahead again with Oli, then a direct free kick again pegged us back and a cross that drifted in gave them a win in the last minute. Gutting!

I know we have got plenty right so far this season and have built a good squad who play attacking football, we need to show a bit more maturity and play a bit smarter to see games out better, I know it will come though and I am proud of what we have, we are very close to being a very good team and we won’t stop until we fulfill that.

One other thing I am proud of is our supporters and especially our stewards who did a great job dealing with a joke of a situation at the end, Steve Rainbird, absolutely superb from you dealing with them imbeciles spoiling what was a great spectacle. Sorry it wasn’t the result we wanted but after a day or so of moping about I will start to pick myself up again with the positives!

Up the citizens!
