LATEST : New assistant manager, Rob Flooks returns.

Winchester City 0-2 Hereford F.C.

on Sat 10 Sep

Despite the score, football wise City matched Hereford in every department, but goals win games, and City had their chances as well but could not find the net.

City started the first half with new signing Robbie Matthews making his debut and looking very assured at centre back alongside Ross Bottomley. Jason Silver and Stuart Green both had shots that went close, and matching Hereford with some good passing football but Hereford took the lead when Mike Symonds slotted into the net.

Play was still end to end and City conceded an own goal when the unfortunate Jamie Ford was trying to clear the ball but it went off him into the net.

H.T. 0-2

City started the second half on the front foot but could not find a way through a good Hereford defence.

Play continued very even when City conceded a penalty but Lewis Noice made a great save low down to keep the ball out, still 0-2.

The game ended with one thinking that City could still get into it but it ended 0-2.

A good display from City against a side who are unbeaten and with their resources, they should be, but a good game to watch with both sides playing good football and a decent crowd 480.
