Blackfield and Winchester were the two highest ranked teams remaining in the competition and Blackfield played a mixture of first team and fringe players. while Winchester made nine changes to the starting line-up from Saturday with only Jamie Barron and Luke King starting both games with the remainder of the team containing fringe players, players who have featured in cup games this season and youngsters. The Blackfield team also included former Winchester players Lewis Noice and Josh Harfield with another Adam Tomasso on the bench.

Winchester made a positive start with I K Hill particularly lively and the winger forced a save from Noice and Barron shot over. Winchester replaced Luke King with Kieran Douglas at the start of the second half which they began brightly with Jamie Barron forcing a further save from Noice and Billy Connor shooting just wide. However any hope they had of getting anything out of the game were ended after Harry Birchnall saved Sam Griffin 's initial effort, but the loose ball eventually resulted in Rae following up to score his second.
