We were without the suspended Tomasso, Barron and Jenkinson unavailable for today.

Game was a good advert for southern league I thought throughout and could see why they were 2nd in the league, first half was an end to end affair and we had 1 great chance after great work from Bailey and Cox was unable to convert, we probably edged it but a tight affair.

2nd half for 20/25 it was all us and we played some brilliant stuff and deserved to lead after a great finish from Oli Bailey, we had 1 amazing chance when Bailey went through 1 on 1 but the keeper saved. Sadly that was the catalyst for them to throw more and more men forward, we suddenly looked a bit nervy with our clearances and they threw men forward. We had to bring Oli off after we felt he was feeling his ankle still, then Rob Carr had to come off injured which we could have done without! To be fair we dealt with it quite well and they didn't really look like scoring until some poor defending allowed their striker to strike with 5 minutes to go. Momentum was with them and they scored a very fortunate goal from a set piece and we were left to lick our wounds when we should have won it!

Ultimately too lose the game is hard to accept, for long spells we were very good but we have to be better at finishing the game off and closing the result! We will learn from it and we have to bounce back now on Tuesday.

Up the citizens!
