Winchester City 3-1 Lymington Town

on Sat 16 Jul

City were without three first teamers today with Rob Flooks, Adam Tomasso and Craig Feeney all absent, but still mainly dominated the game with the impressive Stuart Green and Rudy Plummer causing Lymington problems with their attacking play.

Rudy was showing good skill but the first goal would not come until Stuart Green had a shot parried and Sam Wilson was on hand to hook the ball in.

H.T. 1-0.

Second half started with City still in control and should have had more goals until a good piece of skill from Sam Wilson put in Rudy Plummer who slotted into the net 2-0.

Lymington were awarded a penalty when Lewis Noice brought down a Lymington player but then saved the soft penalty, but the Ref seemed to want to give Lymington a goal and awarded another penalty for a dubious challenge and this time they scored 2-1.

City got a third when a good cross from the excellent Micky Hubbard gave Rudy Plummer a chance and he planted a good header into the net.

More trialists playing today but City were never in any danger and the game finished 3-1.
